The sight of trees were something Han hated. Maybe because growing up on the planet of Corellia where even the cities were filled with trees wasn’t a good one. It was filled with nothing but pain, abuse and survival. Most likely because he saw them every day before he finally left the planet to fly the stars like he always dreamed. At the end of the day they were something unremarkable to him. 

But he turned to look at Leia he came to a realization. 

Corellia may have been full of trees, but it was full of life. Tatooine where Leia grew up was the complete opposite. Han had been there hundreds of times during his dealings with Jabba the Hutt. He considered it the worst planet he ever set foot on.

The planet was dead. Nothing but barren wasteland full of a sand. He couldn’t imagine walking up every morning, where nothing grew and the same dead sight. It was something that would drive him mad. It made him realize that maybe this tree-filled planet wasn’t so bad. 

What made it even more beautiful was the look of wonder in the woman he loved’s eyes as she gazed at the beauty of the life that surrounded them.

“Hey girl you know I was getting to that,” Trip said as he went to shut the door the quarters they had now shared, “no need to be so bossy.”

There was so much things he had to get used to about dating Daisy. With all the things he had loved about her there were little quirks that came with her too. Her particularness, especially at bedtime was one of them. She needed things to be perfectly to her liking in order to get her to sleep was one of them. 

But honestly, Daisy was the most perfect match for him he was willing to accept them.

“Thanks babe,” Daisy said as she let her arms out to him, “come here and join me in bed.”

Trip wasn’t going to complain about that. With a smile he made his way to the bed and propped himself under the covers. And as Daisy wrapped her arms around him holding him close, he sighed deeply - nights like this were worth the fuss.

Han couldn’t believe his eyes as the projections of planets and constellations danced across the longue in The Falcon. Was this a dream? Had the depression and loneliness gotten the better of him that he projected this fantasy to cope with what he had lost? Was this really a Map to his long lost sweet Leia?

Han had times where he thought maybe he had found her. He would see a shadow pass in the lonely halls of a ship, a woman would pass by on the street that had an uncanny resemblance only to see up close it was his mind playing tricks on him. All these times he had been disappointed; but not this time.

For once as he looked upon the map, he had no doubts. There was a voice, quiet and barely a whisper that told him that this was going to lead him to what he had long lost. Soon, just soon he was going to be with his sweet Leia once again. 

And as a smile formed on his lips, Han Solo felt something he had not felt in years:

Hope.

First Order? Rey thought, HE WAS IN THE FIRST ORDER.

When Poe had revealed that Finn wasn’t in the resistance after all, as her new friend said and Jaina played along on their short trip from Jakku , she almost fell over in Han Solo’s freighter full of Rathars. It was just, from the moment she met Finn he eradiated this good that sent warmth through her body from the moment their eyes met.

The First Order was dark and cold. He didn’t seem to be someone to be associated with that. 

“I’m sorry I lied to you,” Finn swallowed, Rey tried to catch the look in his eyes, embarrassed, ashamed, “It’s just, I have seen the terrible things they did, know the terrible things they plan and they tried to make me do terrible things, because…” He paused and swallowed, “I just didn’t want you to see me as a monster.”

And suddenly she understood. There were so many things she had done as a scavenger she was embarrassed about, and couldn’t believe she did. It would be hard to talk about it with her new friends. In a way, they had common ground. 

“I am mad about the lying, but I don’t see you as a monster,” Rey sighed, “Clearly if you were you wouldn’t be standing here with us, you wouldn’t have helped us escape Jakku, and Poe definitely would probably be dead.”

“Nahh I would have been a hostage or something,” Poe interrupted, Jaina stood behind him and rolled her eyes, “Ben doesn’t have the balls to kill me, he would have done it on Jakku if he did.” 

“Anyway I don’t care where you are from,” Rey said looking directly into his eyes, “I don’t care what you did, I know you are a good person and I trust you.”

It must have been the wave of relief or the gravity of the words but Finn litterally fell into her arms. He held onto a second before he realized..

“Kriff I am sorry I forgot you are uncomfortable with people touching you,” He stuttered as he began to pull away. But he only moved an inch before Rey wrapped around her arms around him.

Before she didn’t trust him, but now, there was something about him that made her comfortable. For once she met someone who just got her.
